Scholarship

The scholarship deadline has passed.  We are no longer accepting applications.  We should be announcing our winners sometime in June 2018.  Thanks to everyone who submitted an application.

 

The Michelle Marie Lunn Hope Foundation (MLHOPE) was formed to foster awareness, educate, fund research and provide financial assistance to people affected with a blood cancer.  The Michelle Lunn Hope Foundation will award at least one $1000 scholarship based on the impact a blood cancer has had on your life and applicants financial need for the 2018-2019 academic year.

To qualify, applicants must have been diagnosed with a blood cancer (Leukemia/Lymphoma/Myeloma, MDS) or have (or had) an *immediate family member whom they live with, who was diagnosed with a blood cancer.  Applicants must either be a full time student in a College, University or  Technical Trade School located within the State of Michigan or have been accepted to College, University or  Technical Trade School located within the State of Michigan. *immediate family member applies to mother, father, siblings, son, daughter, husband or wife.

All interested, qualified students are encouraged to apply for the scholarship. A completed application, a current letter of recommendation, and a current unofficial transcript must be submitted by May 05, 2018 to Matthew Lunn, Scholarship Committee MLHOPE, 6361 Redington Dr. SE Ada, MI 49301 or email to scholarship@mlhope.org.  After all applications have been reviewed we hope to have winner/s  notified by early June 2018.

Incomplete or late application packets will not be considered.

Scholarship Eligibly Requirements:

To be eligible for a scholarship or grant your life must have been affected by a blood cancer. The affect must be from the immediate family member (applicant, sibling and/or parents (Leukemia/Lymphoma/Myeloma, MDS or myeloproliferative neoplasm) or have (or had) an *immediate family member whom they live with, who was diagnosed with a blood cancer.  *immediate family member applies to mother, father, siblings, son, daughter, husband or wife.

Scholarship Preference Given:

  1. Preference will given in the following order;
  • Blood Cancer Survivor
  • Death of a family member
  • Family member Survivor
  • Then financial need will be considered.

* Past recipients may apply again, but preference may be given to qualified applicants that have not yet received an award from us in the past.
